Forget tricks and treats, and have a spooky time this Halloween by watching some scary movies and shows on Netflix. Check out the lineup for Halloween 2021 that may send a chill down your spine.  

It’s the time of the year when Netflix wants you to say ‘Boo’. Halloween is near, and the streaming platform is ready to keep you chillin’ all month with its scary movies and series. 

Netflix has so many flavors to keep you thrilled, scared, and chilled throughout October.  Check out the list below and set up a Halloween marathon this month:

  • Fear Street Trilogy (2021)

The trilogy is a horror movie series based on the books by R. L. Stine. 

The storyline revolves around teenagers who stand against a wronged witch and her curse to save their town.  

The movie series contains three installments: Fear Street Part One: 1994, Fear Street Part Two: 1978, and Fear Street Part Three: 1666. 

  • Rattlesnake (2019)

The crime mystery film by Zak Hilditch is about a mother whose daughter’s life was saved by a mysterious lady. However, the mother has to repay the debt by taking a life. 

Rattlesnake was originally released on Netflix in October 2019. It stars Carmen Ejogo as Katrina Ridgeway (mother), Apollonia Pratt as Clara (daughter), Theo Rossi as Billy, and others. 

If you haven’t watched the movie yet, this year’s Halloween is the perfect time to give it a shot. 

  • The Craft (1996)

The classic horror fantasy is about teen witches who use their powers against anyone or everyone who crosses them, including their parents.

Scary. Isn’t it?

Although The Craft is 25 years old, it has all those elements that make it the perfect candidate to add to your list of Halloween movies to watch in 2021. 

  • Things Heard and Seen (2021)

Based on Elizabeth Brundage’s novel All Things Cease to Appear, the horror movie is for the fans of good ol’ haunted house films. It features the story of a mother and a family that moves to a new house in the country. However, things go upside down when the mother starts to have strange experiences

Released in April this year, the film stars Amanda Seyfried, Natalia Dyer, and others.

  • House of the Witch (2017)

A group of teenagers head to an abandoned house to host a Halloween party, but they don’t know that the place is haunted by a witch. 

The 2017 film is scary and fun. Directed by Alex Merkin, it stars Emily Bader, Darren Mann, and others. 

  • In the Tall Grass (2019)

If you are a Stephen King’s fan, then this Netflix original will be a great addition to your list of best Halloween movies of 2021 on Netflix. 

In the Tall Grass showcases the horrific story of two siblings who notice the cries of a kid in high grasslands. As they approach the area, they discover something scary. 

  • The Ritual (2017)

It’s a British horror film that tells the story of four friends who reunite after the death of their pal. To pay a tribute, they go on hiking through the Scandinavian wilderness. However, their adventure turns into a scary experience when they lead to a forest that is home to an ancient evil.

  • Winchester (2018)

Based on true events, this horror thriller is a story of California-based Winchester Mansion – a mansion that belongs to Sarah Winchester who believes she is possessed by spirits killed by the rifle behind her family fortune.
