An electrifying new piece of fan art has surfaced, depicting Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man suiting up in the sleek black Venom symbiote suit, reigniting the longing for a highly-anticipated third installment of The Amazing Spider-Man franchise.
Garfield first stepped into the role of the web-crawling superhero in 2012, five years after Tobey Maguire’s tenure, in the Marc Webb directed film which was met with widespread critical acclaim and earned over $758 million worldwide.
The sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which was released in 2014, received mixed reviews and failed to replicate the success of its predecessor, grossing $709 million.
Although plans for the amazing spider-man 3 were halted, Garfield returned to the franchise in a supporting role in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
